Casper College Pharmacy Lab, Occupational Therapy and Classroom Renovation
Located in Liesinger Hall, the 2,800 SF Pharmacy Technology Lab consists of a Lecture Area, Conference Area, Dispensing Counters, Medication Storage, IV Lab, Clean Room, Retail Counter and Offices
The lab is designed so students can learn in an environment which replicates a professional pharmacy. Students can receive a phone order, process and fill a prescription, perform inventory management, order medications, and complete data entry. There are 13-unit dose areas for students in the lab to receive a phoned-in prescription order and to dispense medications. The Clean Room supports students learning aseptic techniques while making compounds. This project also included converting 1,400 SF of office space into two classrooms within Liesinger Hall.
Description
The project was completed in 2012 with much of the construction work performed by Casper College Facilities Operations staff.
